Coder’s leaders are extremely hands-on with their teams and the tasks at hand. For example, Coder’s CEO, Rob Whiteley, hosts an “Ask Rob Anything” session where all questions are encouraged. The company also ensures transparency through monthly All Hands meetings, and managers conduct weekly meetings and/or one-on-ones with team members to bolster strong connections and collaboration. Additionally, Coder hosts educational Lunch and Learns for the entire company, where anyone can present on any topic, they are passionate or curious about.

Coder leverages a Slack integration that allows team members to give each other digital “tacos” (🌮 ) as tokens of appreciation. These tacos can be exchanged for tangible rewards like cookies, wine, company swag, or even a massage. More significantly, Tacos fosters camaraderie and increases visibility into what activities others are doing, enhancing overall connectivity at a hybrid-remote company.
